A wave of Women Empowerment: U’khand beats 21 states in saving the Girl Child

Adding a new feather to its cap, Uttarakhand has become an inspiration for other states in saving the girl child. The Himalayan state has left 21 states behind in its efforts to save the girl child. According to the fresh reports issued by National Family Health Survey 2016, Uttarakhand has 1,015 females per 1,000 males which is a matter of pride. As per 2011 census, the state had 963 females per 1000 males which have been changed for better now. This survey was done all over the world from January 23 to July 21, 2016. The state used the statistics collected from Women’s Commission, Family Planning and other various sources to get the authentic info.

Drawbacks: In Uttarakhand about 80% people are void of Health Insurance

Instead of making several claims, the government has failed to conceal the truth as according to a report about 80% of people in Uttarakhand don’t have health insurance cover. In the urban area around 18.9%, people come under the health insurance scheme while in the rural area around 19.8% people haven’t received the health insurance facility
