This nationwide mission will create a strong feeling of patriotism and great respect for our soldiers. Portraits of brave soldiers and knowing their stories will help youngsters follow a positive direction in life. It will inspire them to serve the country.

Yogendra Yadav, the Param Vir Chakra receipt during the 1999 Kargil War was also present at the ceremony. The governor praised the invaluable contribution of our military heroes and believes they are the quintessential role models for the younger generation.

Uttarakhand was the first state to launch this mission after it was launched in JNU by Defence Minister Arun Jaitley and human resource development minister Prakash Javadekar. We will give full support to making the mission a success at the university level.
