At present, the country has only three Government Sports Universities including Swarnim Gujrat University, LNIP Gwalior and Tamilnadu Sports University. The Uttarakhand Sports University will be the fourth sports university to come up in the country. The government hasn’t introduced any schemes for the sports personnel above the age of 16 years. The sports college only provide facilities to students up to class 12th and those who want to make their career in sports have to head to other states. By establishing a Sports University in the state, the students can easily continue their education and strive hard for their goal while staying in the umbra of their state.
