Devbhoomi Uttarakhand all set for Char Dham Yatra, Check out all important details

The famous Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand will start from today after Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat flags off around 18 buses carrying pilgrims from Rishikesh to the revered shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Keeping in mind the Swacch Bharat Mission, the Yatra administration is also providing two dustbins (one for biodegradable, one for non-biodegradable) to the vehicles plying towards Char Dham. The renovation work of rest houses at the Rishikesh bus stand as well as installation of water coolers was in full swing on Wednesday. The pilgrims have started congregating at Rishikesh for the auspicious Char Dham Yatra which takes around 10 days to complete.

12 Registration Counters at Rishikesh Bus Stand

To provide hassle-free registration for the pilgrims, around 12 registration counters have been set up at Rishikesh bus stand where photo-metric registration will take place. Apart from photo-metric counters at bus stand, registration facilities are also available at Gurudwara, Bhadrakali, ARTO and Brahampuri.

In addition to Rishikesh, registration facilities are also available at Pantdweep, Pandit deen Dayal Upadhaya Parking, Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi and Railway Station in Haridwar. Places such as Janki Chatti, Gangotri, Guptkashi, Phata, Sonprayag, Kedarnath, Paakhi, Govindghat and Badrinath will also have registration facilities available.
