Two residential Sanskrit Universities to come up in Uttarakhand soon

With assistance from Swami Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved Limited, Uttarakhand will soon have two Sanskrit Universities with residential facilities. One university will come up in Rudrapur in Kumaon region while the other will be constructed in Pauri in Garhwal. Both the universities will admit and accommodate 1000 students. Apart from that, Patanjali will also look after the affairs of other Sanskrit schools which are currently in shambles. The decision was taken during the review meeting of Sanskrit education at Secretariat.

In the review meeting, Patanjali Ayurved CEO Acharya Balkrishna was also present. In the press conference later, Education Minister Arvind Pandey told reporters that AN Jha Inter College in Rudrapur will be converted into a residential Sanskrit university. A policy related to wages of Sanskrit teacher and other issues will also be formulated at earliest.

Acharya Balkrishna said that better education and facilities will be provided at the two upcoming universities as well as the 4 Sanskrit schools already in Uttarakhand. Once the cabinet gives green light to the project, work could be started.
