Uttarakhand to get its first Acupressure Yoga park in Dehradun

With the rise in popularity of Yoga and other naturopathy, Uttarakhand will have its first acupressure Yoga park in capital city Dehradun. The park will be inaugurated by CM Trivendra Rawat on June 17 after which the park will be opened for general public. The responsibility of renovating Durga Malla park situated  in Garhi Cantt. into a Yoga park was handed over to MDDA last year. Around Rs. 75 lakh was poured into the park project.

Features of the Acupressure Yoga Park

  1. The park features an amphitheater where cultural festivals and programs can be held with tiers of seats for spectators surrounding the central space.
  2. The park has been divided into three sections with tin sheds have been installed at various places in order to protect stranded visitors from untimely rain.
  3. First section of the park consists of acupressure paths where visitors could walk barefoot. Second section is the lush green Nakshatra Vatika for Yoga and meditation. The third section of the park is separated for cultural program and events.
  4. A juice shop serving healthy juices is also made available in the park premises along with snack shop serving tea, water, energy drinks.
