Start Up Yatra reaches Uttarakhand, searching for entrepreneurship talent

With an objective to foster entrepreneurship across small cities in India, Startup India Yatra van has reached its fourth state – Uttarakhand. The van will cover all 13 districts of the state, setting up boot camps across eight cities. The idea behind this initiative is to encourage the entrepreneurship spirit as well help scale their ideas to the next level. Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat flagged off the 27-day tour of  the state from the capital city Dehradun.

CM Rawat also unveiled the Start Up Policy 2018 and asked officials to set up an action plan so that talented entrepreneurs would have an encouraging environment to work on their innovative ideas. The Start Up Yatra van will have experts on board who would offer opportunity to talented entrepreneurs to pitch their idea and get incubated and turning it into an enterprise. The van would to around 22 colleges in eight different cities were one-day boot camps will be setup. Prior to Uttarakhand, the Startup Yatra traveled to three other States of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha.
