Rudraprayag witnesses another Earthquake in less than 24 hours

The hill state of Uttarakhand that falls in the Himalayan belt is known for high seismic activities which have been stirring up the state from the past few days. Many parts of Uttarakhand have either been hit or have felt the tremors causing shivers down the spine of many.

Following the earthquake measuring 5.8 on Monday, yet another quake jolted Rudraprayag on Tuesday afternoon, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale. This happened in less than 24 hours after the region was stirred by a moderate intensity temblor.

According to the reports produced by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, the earthquake hit Rudraprayag at 1:51 pm at a depth of 10 km. After the quake measuring 5.8 hit Rudraprayag on Monday, two National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) teams were quickly deployed to Rudraprayag for providing aid to the needy.
