More Power to Uttarakhand Women: Gauchar’s daughter becomes the CEO of Paytm

Women of Uttarakhand have always steered their way through the odds, they have often been the precursor of great movements, inspiring other women to work hard and find feat in what they do. One such woman who has paved her way to success is Renu Sati from Chamoli district, who recently had the honour of becoming the CEO of Paytm Payment Bank, an online wallet company. This honour was bestowed by RBI who gave the approval for making Renu, the CEO of Paytm. The 41-year-old hails from the Jhalimath village and is recently living at Rohini, Delhi with her mother Meena Sati.

The lucrative career of Renu Sati and how she climbed the ladder to success

From the past 13 years, Renu had been working with online wallet companies that offer an easy mode of transaction and payment to the customers. After the currency ban, these companies have become even more popular among the people. But the first major professional break for Renu was in 2003, when she joined as an HR in Mother Dairy, after which she became the Assistant Manager in the HR Department. In 2009, she joined hands with Van-97 Communication and climbed the ladder to success. Soon she rose to the level of Associate Vice President-Corporate Development and from the past three years, she is working with the same firm.

This firm that operates Paytm has launched another business with the name of Paytm Payment Bank which will be launched on May 23. Reserve Bank preferred Renu over other candidates by looking at her profile and the work she has done in her entire career. Renu received her education from Delhi, her father was in private sector and her three elder sisters Rachna, Uniyal, Sunita Dhonidyal and Sangeeta are happily married.
