Portals of Gauramai, Shanidev & Annapurna temple now Open for Devotees

Now the ardent followers of the Himalayan deities can head on a spiritual sojourn to Uttarakhand as the portals of Gauramai, Shanidev and Annapurna temples have been opened for devotees. Now the pilgrims can visit the Shani Dev temple nestled in the hushed Kharsali village as its doors have been opened for the devotees. At 9 am, the temple priests conducted a special pooja at Gaura Mai temple situated at Gaurikund after which the doors were opened for the devotees. Now the deity will be worshipped at the Gauri Mai temple for the next six months.

During Ganesh Chathurthi at Dodital, the portals of the Annapurna temple were opened for the devotees to pay obeisance at the temple. With the Vedic chants suffused in the air at 3:15 in the afternoon, in the presence of the temple priest Dr Radheshyam Khanduri the doors of Annapurna temple were opened for all.

The second Kedar God, Madhyamaheshwar’s door will open on May 18 while the third Kedar God, Tungnath’s portals will open from May 5. The opening dates for the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath and Markandeya Temple in Ukhimath has been decided as per the Hindu calendar. Prayers were held at the Omkareshwar temple at 8:30 in the morning after which the temple doors were opened.
