PM Modi to visit Dehradun on Yoga Day, will do yoga with 50,000 participants

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Dehradun for this year’s International Yoga Day on June 21. He will participate in the yoga event organized at Forest Research Institute (FRI) along with 50,000 participants. The confirmation came from the Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat. He also added that Uttarakhand was already well known for its yoga schools and presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi would further add to the state’s reputation.

Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh reviewed the preparation at FRI on Tuesday. Rehearsal will be done on 18 June and a full rehearsal will be on 19 June with the massive Yoga demonstration with PM would take place early morning 7 AM to 7:45 AM on June 21. Members of Uttarakhand police, Army, para-military forces, NCC, NSS, Scouts and Guides, Yoga institutes, school, colleges, women and senior citizen organisations, youth clubs and Nehru Yuva Kendra, ASHA, ANM workers and other people will participate in the show.
