PM Modi reviews Char Dham project in Uttarakhand via video conferencing

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the progress that was made in the Char Dham All Weather Road project work of which is currently in progress in Uttarakhand. Chairing a review meeting under Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation (PRAGATI), the prime minister also checked the work being done at construction sites at Helang, Bhadrakali and Srinagar using drone imagery technology.

In addition to this, the PM also reviewed the computerization of public distribution system from godown to ration shops as well as works under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT). When asked about the pilgrims to Kedarnath, chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh informed him that this year pilgrims are visiting Baba Kedarnath in record numbers. Electricity, sanitation, medical services are also being closely monitored.

Regarding the Char Dham road project, Singh informed that of the 37 approved projects, work has been started for 28 projects. The remaining eight projects will start by the end of June.
