Investors’ Summit: 50 projects worth 20,000 Cr prepared to attract investors

Uttarakhand government is leaving no stones unturned for the highly anticipated Uttarakhand Investors’ Summit 2018 which is expected to take place in the first week of October. For the summit, the government has prepared 50 projects worth 20,000 crore. Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh has directed all departments to formulate policies to attract investors and foreign direct investment (FDI) by August 15.

In the meeting chaired by the Uttarakhand chief secretary, it was discussed that sectors such as information technology, biotechnology, skill development, electronics, food park, warehousing, film production, medical health, fisheries, organic farming, wellness tourism, ayurveda etc. where there is huge potential for capital investment.

The state government will also organize road shows in various cities to showcase various facilities in Uttarakhand such as resources, connectivity, law and order, power availability, land lease policy, single window system and other facilities. In addition to that, various countries will be informed of the favorable investment environment via round table conference.
