Farmers in Uttarakhand to get loan @ 2% interest rate from September

In a BJP party workers conference held in Khatima, CM Trivendra Rawat announced that the government will start a scheme from September that will provide agricultural loans to farmers @ 2% interest rate. The CM also said that there will be transparency in the works done by government and no one has the right to take law in their own hands. Apart from that, he also said that district magistrate is the face of CM in respective districts and should be honest and unbiased towards his duty.

Apart from the farmer loan scheme, CM announced various other schemes and projects at the BJP conference. He added that keeping in mind the importance of vocational courses, Uttarakhand will set up NIFT for fashion designing, a Plastic Institute and a Hospitality University by 2018. A mini stadium will also be constructed in Khatima.

The CM also stressed to abolish irrelevant departments in the state government which cause wastage of money. At present, there are around 101 departments while only 33 departments are required for proper administration. The government is also planning to construct SIDCUL at Kathuwapati in Banbasa.
