Uttarakhand Govt. to fill 3,800 vacant posts in various departments from July onwards

Uttarakhand is looking to strengthen their government machinery by filling more than 3,800 vacant posts in various departments. Forest Department along with Health as well as Excise have already submitted their demand for more employees. With the immediate appointment of employees in these departments, there will be improvement in health facilities along with better protection of our forest resources. However, amount of more than Rs. 11 crore 50 lakh will be siphoned out every month from the Treasury.

At present, there is a dearth of forest guards in forest department. The department have sent proposal for 1200 vacancies to the Subordinate Service Selection Commission for approval. Likewise, the health department have sent proposal for appointment of 712 doctors to Public Service Commission. Excise department have sent proposal for 213 vacancies. Department of Transportation will start the hiring for 164 posts in Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ as well as 250 drivers for roadways on contract basis. In addition to that, Uttarakhand CM announced the hiring of around 1,000 Patwari all over Uttarakhand and around 300 vacancies in Rural Development Department.
