First ever Nepal-India Trade Fair kick starts at Parade Ground, Dehradun

Doonites are all excited about the first Nepal-India Trade Fair and Tourism Festival taking place at Parade Ground in Dehradun. Inaugurated by CM Harish Rawat, this mega event kick started on Sunday in which a large number of visitors thronged Parade Ground to relish the trade fair.

The fest is being organized by the Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce & Industry and will run until March 12. To delight the shopaholics and potential buyers there are several stalls related to domestic and foreign products, daily commodities, tourism info & packages, Nepali art & culture, agro products, handicrafts and food items that you can buy here.

CM Harish Rawat said that the trade fair will nurture healthy relationships between India and Nepal. It will also help both the countries to showcase and sell their indigenous products and items. CM also urged the visitors to buy products made in Nepal and make this trade fair is big hit so it can be hosted in the coming years too.

“The organizer believed that such type of expo would help reduce a huge trade deficit between the two countries and promote Nepali goods and products in Indian markets. More, it provides a platform for the business community of two different localities (Kanchanpur and Dehradun) for having a meeting and an interaction, said Chamber Senior Vice President Janga Bahadur Malla”.
