Electricity Price rises by 5.7% in Uttarakhand

Its time to regulate the use of power at home and save energy as electricity prices in Uttarakhand have seen a hike of 5.7%. With the rise in power tariffs now the domestic users have to pay 60 paise per unit. The revised power tariff was presented by Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission Chairman, Subash Kumar on Wednesday. Kumar told that the revised power tariff will be applicable on domestic consumers from April 1.

The domestic users who were earlier paying Rs 2.45 for consuming first 100 units have to pay Rs 2.55 now and for the consumption of 101-200 units earlier at Rs 3.10 now you have to pay Rs 3.30 per unit. For 100 units there will be a fixed charge of Rs 40-45, Rs 60-70 for 101-200 units, Rs 85-110 for 300 units, Rs 150-180 for 500 units and above all the fixed charge from Rs 175 has been increased to Rs 210 per month.
