Indian Forest Service: Vaibhav Singh only person to passout from Uttarakhand cadre

From working in his brother’s NGO that take care of forest and wildlife to becoming an Indian Forest Service official, the life of Vaibhav Singh have come full circle. Around 45 IFS officers graduated on Friday from the prestigious Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy with a vow to preserve and protect out nation’s forest resources. Vaibhav’s admiration for forests and its wildlife grew into a passion which helped him reach the top-most position in Indian Forest Service.

Scoring 36th AIR in his second attempt, Dehradun-based Vaibhav cleared his in Indian Forest Service examination with flying colors. After a two-year training at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Vaibhav graduated on Friday in the presence of President Pranab Mukherjee and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Vaibhav’s elder brother Abhishek Singh  believes with his brother as IFS officer, his own efforts to save the forests will get a boost of confidence.
