China’s Fly Catcher Bird Spotted for the first time in Pawalgarh Conservation Reserve

Ramnagar Forest Department’s  Pawalgarh Conservation Reserve has reported the sightings of East Asia’s (China, Taiwan and other countries) beautiful Blue and White Fly Catcher Bird. Pawalgarh Conservation Reserve, a home to several exotic birds have always been rich in bio-diversity. The bird was first noticed here by the visitors who took surreal pictures of it and later informed the Forest Department about its rare existence.

Conservation Reserve Wildlife and Bird Expert, Rajesh Panwar and his team who spotted China’s Blue and White Fly Catcher in Pawalgarh are happy with its sighting. According to Panwar, this bird has been spotted for the first time in the North Indian zone. This is an important record for Uttarakhand as earlier the bird had only been spotted at Andaman, Arunachal Pradesh and Maharashtra.
