Bookings Full in Badrinath Dham till June month

This year Badrinath Dham will expect a record-breaking number of tourists. The portals of Badrinath shrine will open from May 6 but the condition is such that the hotels and dharamshalas have been booked till June. While few of the tourists that will host the puja ceremony have been asked to wait till July-August. Not just this, the puja bookings have seen a 40% rise as compared to last year due to which the tourists, the temple committee and the hoteliers are rejoicing. Since the havoc caused by the 2013 floods, the Char Dham Yatra was witnessing a slack. However in 2016, it got a much-needed boost, last year about 6, 54,000 devotees paid their visit to Badri Vishal.

According to the Badrinath-Kedarnath Committee Chief, BD Singh there are accommodation facilities for more than 23 thousand pilgrims in Badrinath Dham. Sigh told that much enthusiasm can be seen among the tourists as last year during April month only 157 bookings were made for the special puja from which Rs. 6,92,000 revenue was generated but this time the puja bookings has exceeded to 204 generating a revenue of Rs 9,00,000.
