10 major hospitals in Uttarakhand to be converted into e-Hospitals

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship Digital India project took another step for the betterment of healthcare in Uttarakhand. Under the National Health Mission (NHM) scheme, 10 hospitals in the state will be converted into e-Hospitals starting from Almora district hospital. After the digitization of the hospitals, these hospitals will become accessible online by the patients. The patients will also be provided unique IDs¬† with the help of which, they can provide information to the doctors online.

For this project, a team from NIC Tripura along with Silver Touch Technologies will put together an application. The Almora district hospital will be digitized within two months including OPD counter, OPD patient registration, Billing, Test Charges, Emergency etc.

The 10 hospitals selected for the digitization are: District Hospital (Haridwar), SPS (Rishikesh), Coronation Hospital Dehradun, Base Hospital (Haldwani), District Hospital (Almora), District Hospital (Udham Singh Nagar), Medical College (Srinagar, Garhwal), Doon Medical College (Dehradun), Medical College (Haldwani).
